they're testing out a new look for their website, which seems far nicer to
the eye than the previous one. It's also
The catalogue is very readable: http://data.worldbank.org/data-catalog. It's
a good demonstration that it's possible to have a few hundred data sources
tabulated & available in four languages without punishing people.

API - first thoughts*

The licence terms are very similar to Digital NZ's, but more accurately
expressed. That is:
- release the data under the same 'as is' conditions as World Bank is
providing you
- attribution (WB requires logo, DNZ requires "Powered by Digital NZ" text)
- no storage of the server calls, e.g. unique calls must be made each time
- acceptable use
- must abide by law
Some are different
- you may not promote anything if you're using the API
- 1,000 calls per day (DNZ allows 3,000)
Some other conditions are included:
- may not reverse compile the World Bank's systems
